Optimize solar usage, save on energy costs, maintain system efficiency, identify, and pinpoint the source of the system issues and comply with incentives and regulations by comprehensive solar monitoring capabilities of the EI Basic.
Swift and Efficient Commissioning Under 10 Minutes: Experience quick and seamless site commissioning with the Tigo EI App. Ensure smooth communication and operation of equipment effortlessly. Benefit from integrated bulk scan and location tools, minimizing manual data entry.
Open platform to Connect Many Different Equipment Types: Why juggle multiple software platforms when you can use Tigo Solar Energy Intelligence platform and consolidate to one solution?
Tigo’s uniquely flexible architecture supports Tigo MLPE (Optimizers), inverters and batteries, plus numerous third-party inverter, and battery brands. Manage hybrid installations seamlessly with one platform and password, streamlining your operations across sites and maximizing benefits.
Module-level Energy/Power/Reclaimed Power Data: Elevate your insights with Tigo Energy Intelligence granular module-level monitoring. Visibility to the generated power, energy, and reclaimed energy of every module with 15-minute update interval. Darker color indication for low performance modules in one glance due to the shading, soiling, dirt accumulation or module degradation.
Comprehensive Solar Energy Monitoring per Module/String/Inverter/System: The EI Basic provides real-time status, PV Power Generation and AC Power Production per module, string, inverter, and entire system with 15-minute granularity. View your Grid Export/Import, Battery Charge/Discharge, Site Consumption, and Net Energy data and charts to optimize solar usage, make informed decisions and save on energy costs.
Basic charts - Basic charts serve as an accessible entry point for users to monitor and understand the performance of their solar energy system without the complexity of more advanced analytics. The system data are presented with 15-minute update intervals in various charts including Energy PV and AC Production over time, Grid Export/Import, Consumption, Distribution, Performance summary and Battery charge/discharge and state of charge over time. The data retention for the Basic Charts follows the periods stated in the History Production Data and Playback.
History Production Data and Playback: In addition to visibility to real-time solar energy production data, EI Basic allows historical data monitoring, and enables power production playback features with 15-minute granularity to analyze past performance. The data retention for the historical production data is as follows:
- Yearly data (since inception)
- Monthly data (up to 2 years)
- Daily data (up to 2 months)
- 15-minutes (up to 2 weeks)
Early detection through Automatic Safety Alerts: Receive timely alerts for safety issues on your screen or being sent via email and/or SMS to your cell phone. Swift detection and resolution lead to maximizing site uptime, minimizing O&M costs and enhances customer experience.
Reclaimed Energy Data and Charts - Quantifying the Benefits of Optimization: Tigo customers utilizing the Energy Intelligence (EI) monitoring portal or EI app can view at module, string and system-level, their PV system's reclaimed energy, which is equivalent to the extra kilowatt hours generated by a PV system with Tigo TS4 optimization. This energy would have otherwise been lost due to PV Module mismatch caused by shading or other factors. System owners can calculate their PV system's return on investment (ROI) with fully transparent measurements of total energy and reclaimed energy.
Remote Battery and EV Charger Management: Take control of your solar system's behavior and save costs with EI Solar Platform's Battery and EV Management. Tailor battery usage and charging through versatile options like Time of Use, Self-consumption, and Backup. Optimize for regional conditions, weather, electricity costs, and more by features such as battery scheduler and forced discharge. Installers enjoy the benefits of remote Battery and EV Charger Management by reducing service visits and costs.
Monthly Reports - EI Basic provides users with detailed user-selectable monthly PV system production and performance reports via email and/or SMS. The reports include basic charts that present production data on yearly, monthly, daily, and 15-minute intervals. Historical data access is limited (e.g., 15-minute data for up to two weeks).
Measure Your Ecological Impact: Monitor the real-time environmental benefits of your solar system from the inception.
Secure Public Sharing Securely sharing your site’s solar production for Public View. Use the “Public Access” feature of the EI Platform to generate a public access link of your system that is safe to be copied and shared with other groups.
Upgradable to EI Premium and/or EI Professional Subscriptions: Systems can be upgraded from the EI Basic to EI Premium subscription, enabling access to additional data with 1-minute granularity for advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities. See the section EI Premium of Tigo Website.
Installers can also upgrade from the EI Basic to EI Professional subscription, benefiting from the advanced features of EI Professional in managing multiple solar installations, as well as collaboration, and RMA initiation tools. See the section EI Professional of Tigo Website. EI Premium and Professional can be combined as well. Installers can subscribe to EI Professional while enrolling some or all their systems in the EI Premium. There are no overlapping features between EI Premium and EI Professional subscriptions.

EI Basic is available to any users (system owners or installers) within the Tigo Energy Intelligence (EI) Platform and is complimentary for all Tigo hardware-purchasing customers.
EI Basic can be accessed through a laptop using the ei.tigoenergy.com web application, or via Tigo EI App using a mobile device such as a cell phone or tablet. Tigo EI App is downloadable at no cost from Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
EI Basic requires a network connection, and Tigo CCA (Cloud Connect Advanced) monitoring gateway/data logger. The CCA, connected to the home WiFi, sends data to the Tigo network, viewable on the EI Basic portal or EI App.
Installers register into the EI Platform, and create a new system using ei.tigoenergy.com or EI App, and complete commissioning via EI App. The login credentials for the EI Basic portal (ei.tigoenergy.com) and EI app are identical.
Once an installer completes the commissioning process for a system, they are responsible for granting the homeowner access.
To upgrade from EI Basic to EI Premium or EI Professional subscriptions, use the EI Premium or EI Professional Ordering pages on the EI Platform.
